What percentage of trends would you pay for a problem free CC dime (71-74) in a VF 35

what kind of money would you value a VF35 these days compare to trends?

    What's "trends"?

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

I wish I could afford key date CC Seated dimes. These keep my interest away from this series, sort of like the 1901-S has dampened my enthusiasm for concentrating on Barber quarters. Trends (or Coin World "Coin Values") are probably too low for original, problem-free 1871-CC to 1874-CC dimes, if one could find them and wanted to hold them for 10-15 years. The last one of these I saw was an 1873-CC, harshly cleaned in an ACG VF-20 holder with a $6000 pricetag. Trends is at $7000 for, presumably an original one.

I don't use Trends. I find the Heritage and ANR auction archives much more useful.

For those that rely on "Trends", the "Trends" changes tomorrow, will you change your percentage tomorrow?

Now, what if were were instead talking about the Greysheet? Would it be any different? If so, why?

Hard to say, since I don't have anywhere near the money for it. Safe to say, though, the Trends are pretty worthless for coins like these.

    grey sheet is way off.

When a AG sells for over $8k and a good for over $10k and grey sheet does not move you can't trust thier prices for these coins.

I wish I figured this out 3 years ago when I held a PCGS 1873cc VF30 I could have purchased for $3500 and thought it was overpriced.

By the time I figured it out I paid more money for a VG NGC coin.
