Anyone Else Think That Teletrade's Description Of This 1999-S Close AM Lincoln Cent Is Misleading?

LINK image

"The close AM variety is a vital coin to own to have a complete PCGS Registry Set of Lincoln Cents."

Really? Since when has it been added to the registry? I DO think that it should though.

"Though yet to be listed on the PCGS web site this is the sole exampled certified as a RED DEEP CAMEO coin."

I guess the other 24 (DCAM's Alone - PCGS No. 38222) don't count! image

"As a point of interest, there are a mere four Proof CAMEO coins certified by PCGS."

Uhhh, actually 5 (PCGS No. 83557) - but may have been right when written. image

"A truly modern rarity among the small Cents varieties."

Taking into account the 97 UltraCameos (42 69's alone) that NGC has graded thus far? image

I'm NOT knocking the coin but I think their description can be construed by a reasonable person to be inaccurate, misleading, poorly researched, confusing, disregarding facts easily discovered by the minimum of due diligence, &/or wishful thinking hype.

Plus, at the $3,000+ it's been NOT selling for the last few months, it's also at a price that is highly unrealistic as well.

Just MHO. image

RB: That ebay coin did not come up in a search with the word "cent" in it - not a good header I believe to attract bidders, especially those doing a search. And, a "sharpie" won the coin (not sure what his max bid may have been?) We'll have to see just how "South" prices head.
