Finally made it out....

I got out to hunt a couple weeks ago. The site dates back to th 1840's.

Here are my finds...

  • I got out for a little bit last night. I hunted this sidewalk strip in an old part of town. All I found was an old circular pop top, and 12¢. One cent was a 1944. The other cent is an unreadable Lincoln Memorial. I also found a 1970 dime. Still no silver.

The dirt was as dry as … well … dirt. I’m going to wet it down and try it again.

IndianHeadMan, do you find a lot of IHCs or do you collect them. Nice find.

I believe it! You must be able to smell silver. You find tons of stuff in GG park. I would think that park is hit pretty hard.

  • Cool find!
    I lust for silver.

  • Those IHC's are few of my favorites. I also found an 1893 Saturday afternoon. This year to date I've found a total of 14 IHC's.

I hope you find more good stuff.

Nice finds! They have a look to them that suggests that a nice old silver coin or a great relic could pop out of the ground at any moment..

  • Nice Indian....Always a plus! What is the goldish round thing on the right??
  • The goldish thing is part of a modern pin of some kind.
