A new project

I always liked the idea of "a coin from every country" but I fear it is a never ending task, so I have decided to combine it with my brith year set and come up with "a coin from every country as the world stood in 1972"

Here are my starters

I've been working on a '61 set for a while. Not just 1961 which is my birthyear (and an odd year for collecting, as many countries had not yet been born or for varying reasons issued few if any coins), but also 1861, 1761, 1661 and 1561. (I wouldn't throw a 1461 out of bed for eating crackers either.) It's a satisfying way to focus an overly broad collecting habit...!

Great idea!! I am also working on a similar type of set, but have kept it into the decade I was born because of the years I seem to be accumilating are not quite in that same year. Nice coins!image -Dan

PS: That is the same year my little brother was born.image

Limiting it that way is a good idea.

    Good luck.
