What's On Your Want List?

Anybody looking to buy anything specific? I'd like a shot. Also, the one coin I want but don't have in my inventory: An 1836 Half Dollar. There were only 1200 made with the word "cents" on the back. That's the one I want. What do you want?

You're looking for what is called an 1836 "Reeded Edge" Capped Bust Half Dollar. They're quite rare and their cost usually reflects that. Awesome coins. There is one in AU condition with the following description advertised on Dick Osburn's website.

"Beautiful semi-prooflike gold luster. Lots of flash. The obverse is surrounded by a very slight halo of album tone. A gorgeous coin!"

Dick is a good guy and you can't go wrong with him or his coins.

You asked what I'm looking for? Hm, how about a Type 1 (1849-1854) Gold Dollar from the Philladelphia Mint in a PCGS slab and graded between AU50-AU58. They're not easily found apparently. DLRC has one but it's doggy and ugly. I'd like to locate one with nice eye appeal.

    ps. Damn nice coin Goose!
