on eBay tonight: 1878 HOT 50 8TF VAM 14.4 NGC-65 POP. 2/0!!

One of only two graded MS-65 at NGC, none finer. Two other examples tied (SEGS 65-PL, PCGS-65), all are in private collections. A key HOT 50 variety and an essential element of the set of 41 die marriages of 1878 8TF.

I don't understand what's going on... the coin sold on eBay for $2025 back on July 11.

Edited to add: OK, I think I'm awake now. The eBay coin was one of the two NGC-65s that exist, while this coin is the other, right?

Yes Dennis. I have had the good fortune to be the owner of all but one of the MS-65 VAM 14.4's. The SEGS 65-PL(?) is owned by a California collector known to both of us. The coin offered tonight is undoubtedly superior to the coin I sold previously.
