I was going to post some of this information as we got a little bit closer to the show but we can post some of the basics now.
First, we will be grading regular cards and tall boys only at the National. Tickets, supersized cards, coins and pins can be dropped off at the booth to be processed in house.
We will be offering the following services for on-site service. Also, you do not have to be a member to utilize on-site services.
$30 - Show Service for cards valued under $1000. This is not a 24 hour service but show service meaning that your cards will be done by the end of the show on Sunday. It is very possible they could be done prior to that but that would be dependant on how heavy the demand is.
$50 - 2 Hour Service for cards valued $1000 - $2499. You can use this service for cards valued under $1000 if you want them back in 2 hours.
$75 - 2 Hour Service for cards valued $2500 - $9999.
$150 - 2 Hour Service for cards valued $10,000 and above.
PSA/DNA will also be there to authenticate autographs. All services with them will be show service. They will be offering 2 hour service as well which will be an additional $50 per piece
Let me know if you have any other questions regarding National and what we will be offering.
Carol
EDIT: PLEASE NOTE CORRECTION FOR FEES FOR CARDS VALUED OVER $10,000
<< <i>I swear last year drop off same day service was $45. What I thought was strange was seeing the actual graders, the people we cheer and jeer on these boards all the time. One was a woman, who would have thought! >>
I don't know who you saw last year but we keep them locked in a dark room, so they aren't the ones you saw.
If you are referring to the people sitting at the tables’ right behind the customer service staff, those would be the receivers and spec people. As a rep who works the shows it is great to have them available when there are questions on random issues that customer service doesn't see often or even if the customer is unsure about the years of certain cards.

Darkroom my eye! Subs were sitting on tables! Joe was standing on the floor for crying out loud! People were coming and going all day. Are we to believe that card graders are like Keebler elves? Locked in a dark room with their only main function is to grade cards? I am begining to think this "card grading thing" is a secret society. Skull and Bones stuff! I want justice! I want justice! Im sorry I really need to stop.

Joe is on the floor for the majority of the show and the people you see coming and going from behind the curtain are processing people.
All submissions go to the back tables to be entered, spec'd and stickered before going to the dark room.
Maybe you are confusing booths.
