Cards Hot in Pittsburgh; $35K for a '53 set?

Check out the price on the '53 Topps and Bowman sets...not bad for the '56 either.

    don't forget the 15% buyers premium on top of that. I wanted the 56 but was out around 7k, there was another set that went crazy as well, I think it was a 61. my take is that the people who got to view the cards in person knew there was a lot of hidden gems in these once they get them graded. most of the sets went for top dollar. in general

    It seems people are paying alot of money for raw sets.... It makes you wonder if the cards were all nm or better they would probably be graded...

    Wow that is nuts....my uncle's been talking about selling his '53 set. His is completely graded nm+ and I thought he was nuts to hope for 50K. I guess he has the last laugh on that one.
