Good sources for slabbed Mexican coins...

I don't know anyone that handles a lot of slabbed Mexican. Do you?

Mexicanfinethings on ebay sometimes have some slabs. So does mr potatoehead. Have purchased from both no problems. I really feel slabbed (or raw) red copper is way underated, most Mexican copper is red brown or messed with...

Mexican covers alot of territory... I have not found a source but I have bid on Mexican coins slabbed on Heritage and Golberg auctions.

Andy... buy raw and submit... seems to be working for me...

    Andy... buy raw and submit...

    Interesting concept. image

Actually, I'm thinking there's a niche to be filled. I may start playing more aggressively.

At the last Long Beach show, the Mexican Coin Company had a couple of cases of slabbed (mostly NGC) Mexican coins.

In my limited selling experience, I have found there is some resistance to slabbed Mexican material. I've listed NGC stuff on eBay that didn't sell that attracted bids once I cracked them out of their holders and relisted. Also, the few dealers I've approached with stuff to sell seemed much more interested in looking at my raw coins than the slabbed ones.

edited to add... I should probably say "Thanks" to a039 for the kind words, if I'm the "mrpotatoheadd" mentioned. image
