should we run up the price on it in the early days, then contact the high bidder later and gleefully inform them they just paid top dollar for a shoplifting sensor?

Under the new eBay reserve scheme, it appears that the seller can tank the reserve (if her shill gets out of the way) and the next bidder will be spending $10.00 for S&H.

Or worse, the shill withdraws the bid, and the seller tanks the reserve and ends the auction at the "currently realized price."
