1949 Bowman Stan Musial

Hello

I am looking at buying a 1949 Bowman Stan Musial Graded PSA 6 off e-bay. The seller is ve2520; he/she has lowered the BIN price two or three time since the auction has started. My question is do you all think it is safe to buy from this seller? He has not sold a lot and uses the same idea of using a high BIN price and then lowering it as the auction is up longer.

Thanks

Jeff

    Hi Jeff

    Welcome!

Here's the Stan the Man card.

Are you going to make him a "best offer?"

Exactly.. Put in something around $300 and I bet it is excepted.

Lowering the BIN price every few days is not unusual, but I would not consider buying a $300-400 card from someone with a feedback of only 34. Another one will come around soon from a "safer" seller.

  • I was thinking of making an offer but I don't want to send this person money and then not get anything in return and have to jump though hoops to try and get my money back. If no one does buy it I have no doubt he will put it up again.

There is another up that just started. I think the seller of the 2nd one is a little more well known around here as one of the good guys.

I would normally give the guy a chance and buy the card, but he's sold $12K in cards in the last week.

I would wait till he gets feedback from these deals

Jeff, watch the buyer's auction and store, see if it shows up. I personally would feel better paying $325 for a card from that dealer than 250 from the guy he bought it from.

You can probably still get the card, just watch for it to hit the guy's store.

If you don't get it, there is always another one. You probably did the right thing. Lots of fraud on ebay, why take the chance?
