  • Some nice cards mixed in there! Ultra's QC wasn't the best.

I still like the Topps Stadium clubs, quality, photography. When sorting through boxes I always find myself keeping a few out.
Sig: Looking for a recent smr magazine, Please pm if you have one to recycle. Thank You

I could use one of the Ultra Rod Smith's. I don't know why it's so hard to find a 9. I found one on ebay a week or two ago finally and it turned out to be a seller a lot of people had warned us away from, so I passed.

Good move. I won the Smith 9 for a BIN of $20 and it never came. I'd been waiting for that card for a while. I'm still ticked about it image

looks like you bid on the same one and retracted.

This was the seller someone else had pointed out as being rotten, so I just passed.
  • It seems I always get beat up when I submit Fleer Ultra cards. Especially the Gold Medallion parallel issues. I haven't yet figured out what PSA is looking for. I submitted about 20 Ultra baseball cards on the $5 Special. Hopefully I'll post some nice results.

Envoy, looks like you misunderstood. I created the thread about the Smith 'seller' because I won the card and he never sent it. I did not bid on the one that just ended, though I was responsible for that person retracting his bid after I let him know what happened when I won the card previously. Anyway, if anyone feels bad for the undeserved neg I got, feel free to send me a Smith 9 or 10 image

  • I fess up! I am the retractor. Shag gave me a heads up about this guy, and I thought the wise thing to do would be to retract my bid. When I looked at the auction, I realized that the seller was the one everyone on the board had been complaining about. I guess I didn't pay attention to his user ID when I originally bid. It is nice to see the board work and make sure deadbeats don't burn more than a few of us.

I am sending in 3 Smith ULTRA rc's I busted out of wax last night. My rookie eye tells me 1 is a possible 10, 1 is a probable 9, and the last when is an 8 to a 9. I am crossing my fingers(and toes).

Sorry about that, I knew it was you ss... For some reason I was thinking you were the original reply to my post, not shag. I did not bid on that card either because I saw the thread here and the username looked familiar...so I came back and it was him, hence no bid placed.

If you end up with those 3 smiths graded, let me know if you want to sell one of them. I'll take one.
