PSA graded 24th Nationals card thats not a National card

I have a question about 2 PSA cards that were bought off Ebay over 3 months ago. The card was just added to the Clemens master set on friday. Both are labled 2003 DONRUSS CHAMPIONS #179 ROGER CLEMENS 24TH NATIONAL PSA 9. The population report show 2 PSA 9's graded. One of the cards is numbered 1/5 and has an embossed 24th Nationals logo. The other card is not numbered and has no embossing. Is there anyway to get PSA to change the population report to reflect the correct number of Nationals cards graded?

I figure that this is an expensive lesson in buying the lable and not the card.

  • I went through this same problem with some 89 ripken errors. some guy sent in five black box versions and they were labeled psa 10 scribble versions. he pawned them off on ebay and the pop went from 4 to 9. i talked with cosetta and unfortunatly she said the only way they will change the population is if the card is sent in to be corrected therwise they can not change the pop report. Which really sucks becuase a low pop adds value to the cards and when it's manipulated and inflated buyers don't know that.
The sad part is after talking to cossetta i wondered if psa even compares what you write on the form against the card. so last sub i sent in a ripken black box andwrote scribble on the order form here is what i got
  • black box labeled scribble so next im going to send in a 1996 topps 52 mantle reprint and label it a real 1952 wonder if they'll catch that one
  • Call customer service and find your receipt. I suspect that you will be covered under "the guarentee" of accurate grading. But if you give them a call and let them no the situation I am sure they can help.
