1960 1C PCGS 67RD Lg/Sm date on ebay

Hi,

We have some nice better date & grade coins for your registery set closing on ebay tonight about 9:00 PM PST. In addition to the above coin we have a very nice 1960 25C PCGS PR68DCAM and several other collectible coins, all at no reserve.

Thanks for looking!

    Joe,

Rember when they were going for about $125? image

I predict that if THIS one ACTUALLY sells, YOURS will have sold for more.

    Joe,
I'm looking forward to receiving this coin. With it I have completed my Lincoln cent proofs up to date in the PCGS registry.

    Roger,
You were right about the selling price. It is obviously popular now. I was sweating it out at the end.

Congrats Steve. image I don't feel bad now putting in a snipe of $445.50 when you were the high bidder at around $409 (I wanted to try to help get it for you in case someone else just beat you out by a tiny bit).

Dang these have shot up. Joe sold me 3 67's & 1 66 for $425 delivered about 2 years ago! image
  • Anybody else looking for one of these in PCGS PR67? PM me and I'll sell you for $650 delivered.

    HJP,

What is your opinion on the grade of your 1960 DDO. From your photos it looks real nice...ie better than a 67RD.

The reason I ask is does PCGS typically grade these tough...I have one in a 67RD holder that I sent in for regrade in the holder, that I swear is a lock 69RD...absolutely flawless with perfect color and superb strike.

    thanks for your opinion

IMHO, the coin in hand looks much better than Joe's scan picture in the auction. But he said that in his comments included in the auction.

    Morris,

They DO grade them tough. Can't tell you how many NGC 68RD's came back as 67.

    Roger,
The NGC PR68 that sold on Teletrade last Sunday for $450 appears to be, from the scan, far inferior to a similiar one up for auction there a week from tomorrow. In any case, I find it very interesting that for the past six months (January thru June) I could not find ANY examples of FS25 on EBAY. Teletrade or Heritage and now they are again coming out. One exception was the June LB auction on Heritage where a PCGS 67RD went for $1552! I bid in that auction but NOT to that level. One thing this experience has got me into following prices on the three variety doubled dies needed for the PCGS Set Registry.

  • Back in 9/03 PCGS crossed a sm/lg dt for me from ICG 68CAM. to PCGS 67CAM. Sold on the bay for $1,800.
At the same time frame I sold some of the lg/sm dates in PCGS 67 on e-bay for like 9 and change and a 68 for 12.
I have submitted 16 total of the 3 varieties to PCGS.
