  • damn! no buy it now image
  • Thanks for the link.....
This is yet another great example as to why I feel that most people in this world are either idiots, or just plain out to get you. This example is perfect to illustrate an IDIOT!

Was there a 10 cent listing?

Isn't that when we see a proliferation of that kind of stuff?

And don't forget to click the link to the rest of his auctions.
  • This is someone who truly believes he will retire from his baseball cards.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
  • at least he used a nice clear, sharp photo.
  • Is this person serious? I just started collecting cards again after a 15 year hiatus. I used to collect pretty heavily. I can't ever recall a Clemens card anywhere near 2 grand. I used to have the 1984 Fleer Update set with the Clemens rookie. I thought that was the toughest of all Clemens cards to get. What's the scoop on this 2 grand Clemens card. I don't ever recall that particular card from Topps. What am I missing?
  • Welcome plifter,

I just sent the seller a question on the Clemens cards.

I said - "Hi, Would you take $1800 for the card? I need it to complete a set."

Let's see what his reply is. image

Oh, this is getting better all the time.

He just emailed me this - "hay i will sell you the roger clemens for 1800 all you have to bid on it nobody else will not bid on it when you bid on it i will lower the days on my item."

I just sent him this email - "Sorry, we couldn't do business. I just found one on Ebay for $0.99. Thanks anyway."

    What a sucker!

I almost feel sorry for him. He actually thought he was going to have a payday on that card.

What a moron. Now, somebody else needs to offer him $1400 and see what he does!

$1400 is still a little too steep for me. I wrote him and asked if he'd consider $1200. For some reason he hasn't responded to me. image

You'd better believe I'm watching this auction though. I think I can get a whole case of 88 Topps for $49 including shipping.

P.S. Thanks guys, I literally had tears running down my face when I read this thread.

I don't know what strikes you all so funny 'bout this opportunity. Why, this card would be a steal at twice the price!

I'm assuming he'll allow me to pay with a novelty "million dollar" note, and send me the change?
  • Changed my mind, have all the fun in the world with this person

<< <i>Not for nothing but it is disturbing that everyone chose to make fun of this individual as opposed to trying to help or offer assistance. They are obviously ignorant (and greedy) and didn't do their homework 1st.
