PCGS price guide listed.....raw coin(s)....."L@@K" in subtitle......wording "...trends MS66" in title.

"BE YOUR OWN JUDGE L@@K @ ME! NO RESERVE! L@@K @ ME"

"BE YOUR OWN JUDGE! IN MY OPINION THIS COIN COULD BE AN MS 66. HOWEVER, I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON GRADING COINS. "

Sorry.....too many things that I have learned in the past to avoid. I may lose out on some good deals by avoiding dealers that do those things, but I probably save myself a lot more in the headache department.
If the coins are really good, you shouldn't need hyperbole nor to quote the PCGS price guide for RAW coins.......and at a higher grade than PCGS would likely give them

Also, you state "IF YOU DO NOT PAY FOR INSURANCE FOR THIS ITEM AND YOUR THE WINNER AND IT GETS LOST OR STOLEN FROM THE MAIL. WE ARE NOT LIABLE". That is actually incorrect. The seller is on the hook to make sure the item gets to the buyer. With or without insurance paid by the buyer.

Way too many things in your ebay auction description (and title) for me to feel safe bidding.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

This man can read english. Your the first guy that can. The only way anyone is covered is if they use paypal.

The issue you have is that you feel and or think that PCGS and NGC are the supreme gods of grading. Keep in mind they only give an opinion! I gave an opinion also. Now think how many grading companies are out there and then think how many grades are false grades (This is includes NGC and PCGS). PCGS to me is the Political Coin Grading Service. If you have the right amount of money to invest into the company you will pretty much get about any grade you ask for.

As far as quoting PCGS. What I am doing is using that for an idea of what the coin could be worth if it is graded correctly. People always want to put a monetary value to everything. Well, I gave them an opinion with a number and they appreciate it.

Not much they can say if they are getting what they are asking for.

Reply by momof3girls010305: NEVER SAID IT WAS AN MS 66...HE DIDNT READ THE AD CORRECTLY...I SAID TRENDS MS66

You are very deceptive and play on words....then you say it is up to the bidder. Why not just be simple and honest for people? If you want to quote the PCGS price guide, do it for the PCGS coin! Not for raw!
Another seller I will be quite happy to NOT buy from.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Bochiman...I am in agreement with you TOTALLY! Why do these sellers quote MS prices (most, including this nitwit, go as high as 65/66) when the item they are selling is not only NOT graded, but clearly 6-7 points (on a good day) lower than that?

BEFORE you stomp on me Coinsandguns (which wouldnt be a great idea in and of itself), notice I did NOT in ANY WAY say you were claiming the coins grade that high...what I AM saying is that, like Bochiman said, you are using a deceptive method to sell your coins. Why cant you just put in the listing what YOU think the grade is, leave out 'Trends' altogether, DONT use words like 'Stunning' (which your coins ARENT), and just sell the coin for what its worth?????

Also, when you put things like 'L@@k at me' in the subtitle, you dont draw attention to your AUCTION, you draw attention to the fact that you NEED ALL THE HELP YOU CAN GET selling these overgraded pieces of shyte!

edited to add: Pm being sent to ask a question about your auctions

Please take it to PM's. This is a BUY, SELL, TRADE forum. If he doesn't have his PM function turned on please spare the rest of us your incessant policing.
  • TWQG...I edited to add that I was sending this 'seller' a question in regard to the auctions he has running...does that make it acceptable to you???? Also, I am simply 'trading' my opinion of this seller and his auctions with Bochiman...hmmm, 'trading'....yep, you are right TWQG, this IS a Buy, Sell, Trade forum... NOW I am forum acceptable because I am TRADING something, my opinion with Bochiman's, of this deceptive scammer... though in this case, it would be like trading one 1979 MS65 SBA with full talons for another 1979 MS65 SBA with full talons.
  • Now your name calling. Your right I do use words and it is called marketing! I market to a certain group and I have had a ton of people who like what I sell. Now you said I overgrade the coins. I never graded them like you said. I only gave an opinion. You gave yours. I know I opened myself up to people being their own judge and that is exactly what you did. You graded them your way. I have no problem with what you said except for the scammer part.

I scam no one. They are their own judge just like yourself.
  • Coinsandguns...REREAD my first post. Does it state ANYWHERE that I SAID you actually GRADED the coin yourself (or that I even alluded to the fact that you placed a grade on them)? NO!

If you mean 'newbies' or 'suckers' as to the 'certain group you market to', then you have certainly succeeded!!! CONGRATS!

nO THAT IS NOT THE CASE. I market to people who want numbers or did you not understand that?

Coinsandguns, as per forum guidelines, please refrain from sending your thread to the top more than once per day, whether in reply to questions, comments or whatever. It is unfair to others. Thank you.
  • Coinsandguns...what say you about your remark that I claimed YOU graded the coins? Like to do a little damage control on that one? And YOU left yourself open with the "I market to a certain to a certain group...". It doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out what you mean...end of story and end of my participation in this thread....

Oh, and Fletcher, again, THAT IS A HILARIOUS VIDEO!!! I cant stop watching it and laugh more and more each time!

edited to add: Coinguy1, I apologize to you and to those who take offense to this being brought to the top again. I just cant stand deceptive sellers like Coinsandguns....

Isn't this a discussion forum? Your telling me I have to wait an entire day to reply to someone. I think your nuts!

No, it is not a "discussion" forum, it is a buy, sell trade forum. Here is a thread started by the forum moderator regarding one TTT per day: link

Please abide by it, including not posting here again until tomorrow at the earliest. And don't put yourself above others here, who, believe it or not, are just as important as you are.

Yeah, I get it ...You all are full of yourselves!
  • The "I'm not an expert on grading" style of offers do not weather the scrutiny of our membership, nor are appropriate for our boards. There is indeed a clientele for this sort of offer, but I do not believe that the membership here fit that specific demographic. Perhaps you would do well to take advantage of the services offered by PCGS in order to ascertain the correct grade of these coins so that any and all confusion would be eliminated regarding their true condition.

As for the being "full of ourselves", yes we are, but we do make an effort at common courtesy in our little world.

Good luck with your coin business

  • hi, listen to what is being said to you,the people here are trying to help you ,other sellers quote PCGS PRICES for there RAW coins ! that is wrong , if you want to qoute PCGS you should say if graded it MIGHT GO BLAH,BLAH ,BALH but grading is subject to the people doing it,if you feel they are those grades, send them in,and make more money or if they come back way lower ,well lesson learned, eveyone here has been doing this for years I value everyones opinion and have got some great advise and input, they will help in anyway , but just LISTEN and you will become a better seller and learn what works and what doesnt,,you heard them say, they stray away from sellers that do that so........ just some freindly advise.MoJo
