Over the next few weeks, I'll be selling off the pieces of numismatic literature that I no longer need. Today I'm offering a partial collection of New Netherland's (Charles Wormser and J.J. Ford) "Numisma" and an early Ed Frossard catalog. Stay tuned for some early Chapman Bros, and Hickman & Oakes catalogs, as well early issues of the American Journal of Numismatics. 1)Ed Frossard's 68th (04-02-1887) "Auction Sale of Postage and Revenue Stamps, U.S. Envelopes, Fractional Currency, Birds' Eggs, Coins, Curiosities, Etc." Cover detached with dealer stamps on front and back cover, some margin notes in pen, with several pages torn where they were seperated at top. Overall a decent working copy, and hard to find. 16 pages. $13.50 shipped via First Class mail.
2)A partial collection of New Netherland Coin Co's "Numisma." All the lists are complete, with no writing inside, though most have corner bumps and toned paper. Overall Fine+ or better with one list being a reprint. While the lot descriptions leave something to be desired, these catalogs are highly sought after for the Ford and Wormser's editorials and Q&A sections. $40 shipped. The lot includes the following issues:
