Anyone going to start a fantasy football league for this board?

I am FREAKING PIS SED!! For the THIRD time in a row over the past THREE years I draw the 12th pick in the draft! Last year I grab Ahman Green and Jamal Lewis and get rinsed.

Bri, I am thinking about it. I will probably be in 10 to 12 leagues this fall so I dont know how much time I will have. But I would definately be down for starting one unless someone else just really wants to. Im talking just a free Yahoo league.

How early or late do you guys want to do the draft, I am pretty much good for anyday.
Are we going to try to have prizes like we did for the baseball league or just a league champion ??

The user / pass worked for me, just signed up. Couple of things -

1. Draft next week (in 5 days?) already? Seems like it's too soon, camps haven't even started yet.

2. 12 teams is ideal, 14 teams max. After that, the talent pool is too thin, and unless you get lucky with draft order, you lose interest too soon.

3. Can you add a few positions to the rosters? Looks like the teams are small, especially with team defenses only.

Thanks Tennessee, great idea.

Draft may be a little early, but it'll make it fun to speculate. The real downer to drafting this early is when your stud gets hurt in the first preseason game.

Here's my only beef, and it doesn't really matter.
But......Bong Hit Ricky, Border City Bandits, Steel Curtains, Chris C?????????

Who the hell are you people???

I mean at least I know bri, wolfbear, nwo4life, and zef. About half of you made up new names and I have no idea who you are??? Or has the league been filled by guys who have never posted?? I thought the fun would be to get on these boards and talk some smack. Guess I'll have to learn the new names and place them to a CU name??

I'm still in for a small prize if anyone is interested. Everyone list their interests and the winner gets a card from everyone else in the $10-$25 range??? Something else???

Big Red, I realize the draft is early. But we had some guys including myself who were anxious to get started.
Im like you and would rather draft after I have seen a few Pre season games.

I think part of the fun in playing fantasy football is makin a up a Team name. But you are right without our CU names in the league we really dont know who each other are.
I think I(or someone)should list a post on the message board in the league to let everyone list thier team name and thier Cu board name so we will know who everyone is playin.

I would've made up a team name but eh, ya'll know who's who with me. I'm down with the 10-25 range prize. My interests are Topps/Bowman rookies, Mark Mulder, Willie Harris, Orlando Cabrera, and PSA 10/SGC 98-100/BGS 9.5 rookies.

I'd be interested, I mostly concentrated on fantasy baseball, so my fantasy football skills might be a little weak, but I will give it my best. I can toss a tasty PSA card into the mix.
