    .........Contraras, of course is working on two seasons. He has been lucky lately, pitching some poor games in which he got no decision.

  • Is anyone here pulling for Contreras to break the record? Personally, I never like seeing names like Hubbell wiped out of the record books...
    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    I agree. Contreras isnt all that great. it's one thing if it's pedro or maddux...it's another when it's a halfway decent pitcher whose been luck because of run support.
