Pedigree question

OK, so someone buys a coin from a famous collection (see my other thread). All I have to show for it is (1) a paper envelope indicating the coin denomination, date and condition, as well as when it was bought by the famous owner and for how much and (2) a little paper disc showing that it was bought from another collector apparently of some repute.

So the question is, how do I prove this later on? Without saying the s-word, what would TPGs need to prove the pedigree? I'm sure no one would just take someone's word that it does have a provenance.
Former owner, Cambridge Gate collection.

They have had this discussion on the lightside board. From what has been said, you need a plate picture from a major auction that matches the coin exactly. It must be a Pedigreed auction.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    Would online images suffice??
