After Some comments today - I edited the title to: Say What You Want - That's the True Test of Fre

I thought on our Nation's birthday that it be fitting to think about what people may have thought back around 230 yrs ago...

They had a dream - freedom. But, that doesn't mean they didn't have other dreams at the same time.
People still went about their lives didn't they? If baseball were around back then, children would still be playing, men would seek out that precious diversion - even if for only a second. Even if only in their dreams.

So, here were are today. We are certainly free. Free to take chances, free to dream, free to express ourselves, to love...

Over the years, the one constant in our history is that we all have our goals, our dreams, our aspirations...

Most of us collect sets of some kind. We talk about them, we put them on the registry, we hold our coveted cargo in our hands, we display our conquests over ebay and we dream of the day we complete our sets.

The journey of a 1000 miles starts with one small step and a dream. We realize that it's the "travel" that we hold close to our hearts, and not the destination.

I envision that all our dreams are fulfilled, later - when we're gone, so let's keep our dreams alive and share them here at CU while we can - free to express them.

For, that, is what freedom is all about.

Happy 4th

cheers to anyone with Indian tribal heritage or affiliation....it's still your country, too!
  • To me freedom is all about living in the woods without any neighbors or public roads to see. When I'm outside at home it gives me the feeling that I'm all alone on this planet.......ahhh the peace and quiet.

I actually spent good time today with Rocco. I took for a long ride on the polaris and later flew a kite with him. Mommy and baby Stepahnie are currently taking a nap.

It's truely a gift that we have the freedom and time to pursue collecting and anything else we desire. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Great post Mike for a great day in our history.
