Ending Auctions . . .

I know I'm kicking a dead dog here, but has anyone had any luck ending auctions on Monday nights?

What nights are the best? Any opinions?

Got turbo lister locked and loaded as we speak!

I have had best success on Sunday nights. Monday nights have been second best. I have not done well on Saturday nights. Friday nights really scare me. I would really be interested in what others have experienced.

This is just me as a buyer.

Coach's Corner end their auctions on friday and it's not ebay - so no snipes.

I forget to bid more than not.

I'm tired on fri nite, usually go out for pizza and beer and get lost in the nite.

The toppsvault end a lot of their auctions on sunday - I usually remember and check - tho I would usually snipe - now - if I were to bid.

  • It's been my experience that there is very little difference in terms of when you end an auction -- as long as it is in the evening/early night in most of the country.

Good cards will always sell well.

I think summer sucks for auctions. My last 2 rounds have had very little last minute bidding.

That being said, I used to end all my auctions on Sunday nights. I now like Mondays and Tuesdays. If it is not a holliday weekend and there are no major sporting events being televised, any night Sunday-Thursday I think is ok. I would not end my auctions on either Friday or Saturday nights.

I have always seemed to have better luck ending them on Fridays or Saturdays...from reading this thread it looks like I'm in the minority. I was off work for three weeks when my last son was born and experimented with listing items on other nites of the week and didn't seem to do as well. Maybe I'll try a few week nites again and see how I do.
  • I have had sucess ending them at just about anytime. If the buyers want the item they will bid. I find though mixing ending dates on various days increases sales for me.
