Got a few 9s in my last submission, but don't see many auctions on eBay. Current or ended.

Was wondering where to price these bad boys. Pretty much commons.

They generally sell for $20 $25, with some selling a bit higher (depending on pops). Definitely stronger than '72 Topps hockey sales.

He seems to be going crazy on a bunch of stuff lately. "theseive" is his eBay ID and he has Private feedback, and he just outbid all the usual suspects on a bunch of low-pop '72 Topps hockey commons. Paid $50 apiece for them.

I have never seen a person so rediculous on his bidding. This guy is going to get burnt every time he bids. People are just going to keep bidding every auction up on him.

I just realized you were a member here. I think you have bought some of my 71's.


I love the 71 set. Centering is tough on this set. I have almost 1/3 in 8-9 and it has been a hard fought battle. This set has been gaining a lot of interest as have the 70 and 69 lately. 72's and 73's aren't quite there, but those are as tough in high grade, IMO, as the 71's.

I love the early 70's hockey cards because they are very unique. Great design on the 71's and I also love the 69's. BB and FB often seemed to use design from the other within a few years, but hockey seemed to be very original back then.

yes "thesieve" has a lot to learn about bidding, money management and what fair market value is, else he will be making a lot sellers very happy.

Already have all of those ones.Thanks I thought you knew i was a member here ZEF ? Well now you know. I am still waiting on 3 subs which i sent in. 1 is for reviews for the sets when i hit over 75 percent. (9 cards) And 2 others for the special. Mostly 1970 and 1971 hockey.
When i seen the way this guy was bidding i closed by sets for viewing. Wasn't sure if it was just some dealer bidding cards up or not especially with private feedback. E-bay should ban this from there system. I understand the private bids for the mature audiences but other then that everything else should be open.
Well if anybody has 1970 Topps and 1971 topps hockey please feel free to post.

I've been putting together the #1 71 set on the registry and doing pretty well until recently.

The seive outbid me on those low pop 9's. I thought I bid to win too.

Suprisingly I stole a 71 Vadnais PSA 10 without him bidding. Maybe he already has it. He's been hitting every 10 I se on the bay lately.

If anyone has any 71's that would upgrade my set please offer through pm or email.
