The new ANACS.............

a batch of 3 Morgans came back, only one had the VAM attributed.image

The others while they holdered as expected ( ms62 & ms63), did not come back attributed.

My 1888-P ( ms62 ) was sent in as a HOT50 VAM 7,came back no VAM.
I verified the coin as a VAM 7 and the submission form was filled out correctly..what gives?

The other a 1886-P VAM 20 ( doubled date ) HOT50 ..this one came back as ( REPUNCHED DATE ) and no VAM attributed.....?

Then one of the slabs came out of the delivery box with a nice crack in the bottom of the slab already.

Is this the new ANACS ? image

Looks like I get to stare at these new slabs for a couple of days before I can get someone at customer service and see what they say.

Did you call CS to voice your concern? I am pretty sure they will take care of it.

I tried to call yesterday, they were closed. Looks like phone calls after the 4th.

Call and talk to Tracy. If you paid for attribution verification and your attribution is correct, then it should get written on the label. If your attribution is incorrect, then it will not be on the label. Don't bash them till you have tried every route to resolve it. Bashing tends to lead to more headaches than it is worth when all it would have taken was a simple phone call. image

Easy Tonto, no one is bashing. Manuel is simply telling us about his sucky ANACS adventure.

I think all these ANACS "bashing" threads should be sent to ANACS, in the long run this may help all collectors.

You are correct Herb, I just woke up and was maybe reading into it wrong, so I apologize Manuel. I do understand the frustration. I've been in the same situation before. Good luck on Wednesday when you call CS and keep us posted. Oh, you forgot to tell us what the third coin was. image

No, your experience sounds like my last two submissions. Less than half had attributions, although I had labeled and ID'd them correctly on the sumission form and flip. It's not a call-em-and-they'll-make-it-right situation. They have the attribution info in front of them. They just fail to attribute these days. It's not even as simple as getting the attribution wrong. It's the total absence of attribution.

They do take the attribution fee though, as on this 1934 1c ddo 2-O-VI I am holding, from my last submission, labeled as such on the form and flip. If you are familiar, it is a mega-ddo, described in the CONECA variety master listings as strong spread on all lettering and date.

The label says 1934 1c. Period. Oh, it's ms, and mds. No possibility of missing it.

They will obviously take care of this.

BUT, the point is, the slabs are too fragile...this should not happen,, especially in ANACS's own mailer!

Heres my latest beef with them (one of several!):

They advertise that they are using the largest insert in the industry in order to give themselves the space to list all the wonderful attributes and designations that go along with your coin.

But apparently, they ran out of room? and left the CAM/DCAM OBV off of this coin:

Don't expect too much from the "new" ANACS other than a trail of dissapointment.
