Sweet Mulder pickup today....

I was fishing the "bay" not 5 minutes ago looking to see if any Mulder cards of interest popped up. After a few fruitless searches I found a PSA 10 Bowman Chrome rookie; in which the seller had a buy-it-now for 5.50!!! Just a week ago one popped up and sold for around 15 bucks and I missed out. Logically I was the first view in the auction and I bought it! I really think what threw off the auction is this guy also sells "GEM" graded cards and didn't list PSA in the auction title. I was figuring before I even saw the pic that is was a second/third tier grading company but low and behold it's a PSA 10. Guy has 100% positive feedback so I'm really happy today!

Plus I'm setting up a Mark Mulder registry set, so this is my first attempt at one. I'm well on my way.

    ToppsCo,

It amazes me the deals you find. Ive read some of your posts on the mail call thread and now this. Thats great!! It seems like I very rarely get a GOOD deal on many cards I buy. But I guess if I want it bad enough Ill have to open my wallet.

    Congrats on your Mulder set.

  • Well Downtown, sometimes I have to just pull myself from the desk and just tell myself "there will be another one...". I also search using spelling errors. A good clip(probably 10-20%) of all my eBay wins are titled odd/wrong and I manage to get them for cheap. Thanks buddy! I just looked up all the rookies I'm still needing, and luckily it's less than 50 cards for me to complete a rookie collection. Many more than the (g)olden days of collecting but even at 50 it's less than usually just one BRAND nowadays.
