Help Identifying Hockey Autos

First, let me apologize for the large scans. I thought that the bigger scans would make them easier to figure out.
A friend gave me these about 10 years ago. I have a few figured out (I think!) but the rest are a mystery. Any help would be appreciated.
On the first post card I think I see Bill Plager, Frank Hubley, Gordie Hubley. Second post card I have no idea. Third, Eddie Giacomin, Vic Hadfield, Dale Rolfe. Fourth, Yvan Cournoyer, Guy Lafluer. Fourth and fifth, I have no idea.
I'm not familiar with older hockey players, so I was thinking you all could help me find out who these autos are.
And my last question is...are any of these worth having our resident artist Knuckles making cards out of them? I love his work!

Looking for Carl Willey items.

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
On your 5th postcard it looks like Eddie Bush who coached the Kitchener Rangers and later the Kansas City Scouts - that is purely a guess.
On your 3rd postcard you can add the name of Emile Francis - the coach - who is right below Eddie Giacomin
On your 2nd postcard I am guessing the top name is Rejean Houle.

Tedw9,
First let me say great postcards. I'd guess your friend worked at the Cambridge Holiday Inn in the early seventies or these came to him from someone who did. It's possible the visiting teams stayed there when they came to Boston.
The first one has a 1968 St. Louis Blues theme to it with both Bill Plager and Terry Gray suiting up for the Blues that season. Interesting enough it also has Dan Canney who was the Bruins trainer for years on end including 1968. Not sure how the Hubley brothers fit into that theme. I can't say exactly who the other 4 autos are but these are my guesses. Garry Peters, Kevin McCauley, John Herman and Greg Mollar. Don't forget these autos most likely came from the lounge.
The second card features a couple Montreal Canadiens...Rejean Houle and a beautiful Frank Mahovlich auto.
Gotta run but I'll do the others later. Great stuff!
Thanks, Bob c.

From what I can remember about what my friend told me, his Dad either played or had something to do with semi pro hockey in Rhode Island. He also gave me a Rhode Island Reds game program and a news paper article signed by a Reds player. I can't remember who it is, and I have it packed away somewhere.
Thanks again for all the help everyone!
Seems like all have been ID'd for you.
As for your friends dad having something to do with the Rhode Island Reds (EHL). That is awesome. My dad was stick boy for the Boston Olympics (EHL)back in the late 40's. I have a huge Boston Olympics collection because of him and not one item came from him.
If any Olympics stuff comes your way please keep me in mind.
Thanks, Bob C.

First one I think has a lot of non NHL players. Bill Plager was one of three (?) brothers that played in the NHL. I was not able to identify any of the others as NHL players through HockeyDB, phreakydancin posted a couple that he recognized. I don't know what the significance of the date written on the postcard is but one of the Hubley's played for Fort Wayne in 1974-75 and Plager played for New Haven in 1973-74.
Second card is absolutely Rejean Houle and Henri Richard.
Third one is the Rangers guys onlyanumber identified.
Fourth one is absolutely Yvan Cournoyer and Guy Lafleur (nice - two HOFers!)
Fifth one is "Terrible" Ted Green. This is sort of an interesting one to have. Green was involved in one of the last NHL "stick fights" with Wayne Maki of the Blues, where both players squared off and instead of dropping the gloves tried to bash each other's heads in with the sticks. Maki got in a clear shot and fractured Green's skull resulting in a slight loss of motor function and slight brain damage for Green. Of course a little thing like brain damage is not enough to keep a hockey player off the ice and though he missed the entire 1969-1970 season he played until 1979 in the NHL and WHA and compiled 54 points and 1029 penalty minutes in 620 games (NHL) and 180 points and 304 penalty minutes in 452 games (WHA). It would be interesting to know when that signature was obtained, as I recall his signature did change somewhat after the injury, at least when comparing the ones I got with ones from before the incident.
By the way, the stick thing happened in a preseason game.
As for getting them carded by Knuckles, that's a personal choice.
Seems the first card may have been acquired over time. Getting the card signed as different players came through.
Sorry I botched the Richard auto on card 2....looked a little like big Frank to me.
Great stuff. I'd refrain from cutting them up. Knuckles is definitely an artist and the best at his craft but I twinge everytime I see a multi signed piece taken apart.
Maybe he could do something similar to his 67 Leafs piece for the Rangers or Canadiens cards???

<< <i>...he coached part of a season for the Kansas City Scouts, compiling a fabulous 1-23-8 record. >>
Sure he isn't coaching the Kansas City Royals these days??

If Knuckles could do something for the Giacomin and Francis (both were Ranger goalies) it would be sweet...

Bob - no disrepect intended, but this thread made me a little nostalgic so I dug out my box of index cards from my old Oakland Seals childhood days. Here's a Frank Mahovlich (top) and Henri Richard I got as a kid. At least I was smart enough back then to write their names on the backs of the cards so I could identify them later!
<< <i>Dan Canney was the Bruins trainer and John Hanna played for the New England Patriots. I couldn't find anything on minor leaguers by either name. >>
John Hanna
Dan Canney
Thanks again everyone!
