does anyone know anything about record albums from '60s to '70s? Just inherited about 700 from my aunt's dead boyfriend.
Many are factory sealed.
Tell me to screw myself if this is the wrong place to ask!
Just curious.

Why did you put the Incugator on the bottom?
And, you said it's OT - it's not spam - we all like you.
But, now - I'm clueless.
My first question tho - any Beatles? What is the feel of the albums? Rock? Dean Martin? Jerry Vale?
The best shot will be if you have Beatles - even if not first print - if mint and still packaged - a collector might get excited.
You know there was a record forum but no one ever posted.
One guy posted as a joke - "I came here to just sit and rest"
How about a list? I would guess anything mint and packaged is a winner to a collector.
I'm interested in Wayne Newton and Jerry Vale!

I'm interested in any of the following...
Clapton/Cream
Hendrix
CCR
Allman Brothers Band
Well hey, pm me a list of "classic" rock as well as blues; although I might not be interested I know quite a few people who buy records regularly that I may be able to get in contact for you if your interested in selling.

Some do Zef. I actually found one that had recorded people on some of the first tests of LSD. HILARIOUS!! Now of course, spin in backwards and satan is consuming you....lol. I pick them up because I own a few vinyl players and I figure I might as well have some spins to put on.
BTW...Any "git some" music(IE: Pendergrass, Green, etc. lmk if you have any Jersey)

Gave most of my albums to my nephew last decade. He's the music archiver in our family.
Kept a few cool ones :
The Velvet Underground and Nico with the peel off banana, and a few other fun ones,
like the Rolling Stones "Their Satanic Majesties Request" original 3-D cover with the faces of the Beatles hidden in it.
There must be many websites that list which albums are still valuable ...
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
he has 700 of them.. if he makes just $3 on each one, that's over $2k.. then figure in an easy $1 or $2 you can make PER ALBUM on shipping, and it's up near $3,000.. and they'll probably go for a heck of a lot more than that.. sell them individually on ebay, with good photos and tell of the pristine condition and how you acquired them.. you'll make a fortune.. don't take any bad advice. if he gets just $5 per album, he could clear nearly $5000.. and i would bet more than that.... he should just walk away from that??

"Pristine Vintage Record Collection from my aunt's dead boyfriend's attic" replace record with sports cards and we would all rip and red flag the auction to bits. Find someone who is seriously in the know about these. Buying a price guide for something you have very limited knowledge of is usually pretty useless. "This price guide lists this 1981 Topps Mike Schmidt for $4 so I should get atleast that for it on ebay." Take them to someone who collects and deals in these heavily and possibly consign them to sell them online or outright. Just like when we see someone who sells records start listing sports cards we will almost always question their knowledge of condition, variation, etc. Just my 2 cents.
yes, and then watch what they do.. don't let them lowball the whole collection and make all the money that should be yours!
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs
Nothing on ebay
Wasn't expecting that much.
Problem lies with the fact that these albums are in MN at my parents' house and I am in VA. Just acquired them last weekend while visiting.
Will probably buy one way ticket, rent a car, and drive them back!
I teach so my summer's are pretty much wide open.
Will try to keep any interested parties posted.
Hope this thread does not draw the dreaded SPAM can!
Thanks again.

If you have any Kiss albums please let me know.
Oh how I miss the sound of the needle hiss hitting the record!
