What do you think of the tone on this 1942 Jefferson T2 Proof??

I was wondering what members thought of the tone on this coin?? Do you think it's natural tone from perhaps storage in an envelope or a folder of some type?? Do you think it's artificial tone, added by some method you'd care to explain?? Do you like it or think it's unnattractive?? I'm hoping for some feedback on it. Thanks.

I think it looks attractive- perhaps from an album....

  • Very nice. I like it. I'm looking for a Type 2 1942 Proof and that beats alot I've been seeing.

it beats any i've seen with the exception of another members DCAM, but that coin is Black/White. these Type 2's are almost always dipped white or hazed over a dissappointing milky color. given the silver content it's surprising more pleasantly toned examples aren't available. of course they may just be held in Type Sets. either way a toned Type 2 is an elusive creature.

Looks OK to me. Looks like it may be target toning from sitting in a capital plastics holder.
