A few nice sets competing for the top Plat sets, John, Franco, Steve, Sharad and others. Its fun to watch.
Even some action in the ever boring $100 MS category. A nice upgrade for John, and it looks like Steve is back competing there.
A hat tip to John for collecting two recent pop 1 MS coins from a former #1 set. I believe there are only 6 pop 1 MS coins in the entire series.

Just finished a follow up study on the grade rate to make a PCGS MS 70 for the four denominations covering the last two years, encompassing the early Plat (5) years 1997 through 2001. Here are the numbers plus/minus:
$10: 1 in 92 coins graded
$25 : 1 in 365
$50: 1 in 493
$100: 0 in 175, not enough raw coins graded to find one, my other data suggests 1 in 1000 for those interested.
Those are the stakes to get in this game. Modern condition rarities with key dates including all the other fun!
