Anyone use the new Bidpay?

I see that Bidpay is back in the auction payment business and was wondering if anyone has had a chance to use them yet.

In looking over their fee structure, they are slightly less than Paypal for the average user (2.5% vs 2.9%) but do not have the graduated scale discount for higher volume sellers. The biggest thing they seem to offer is SELLER PROTECTION for non Confirmed shipments as the buyer pays via CC or Debit card for the auction win.

Any thoughts??

Not going to help much for sellers like DSL who don't do Paypal. They won't do Bidpay either.

I don't see this system going anywhere. A few points off the rate isn't going to woo too many sellers. Paypal is too entrenched as an integrated part of the eBay system.

"Bidpay no longer provides money order services."

Too bad. I used to pay DSL with a Bidpay money order all the time.

I actually cried a little when they closed up shop. image

I seriously think sellers like DSL could benefit from accepting Bidpay. Many buyers stay away as check and money order are their only payment options. Accepting credit card payments through Bidpay would only increase their amount of bidders. No merchant service needed just a small fee. Sounds like a viable alternative to me.

EDIT: No I haven't used the new version as of yet.
