Most of us have seen turnaround times on grades popping much faster than compared to the last several months. Many posts on these boards show turnaround times of a week or so in June. It got me wondering when PSAs parent company's (Collectors Universe) fiscal year end was. My guess of June 30th was confirmed by a quick look at their recent SEC filings. In order to recognize all the payments we have sent in as revenue by June 30th and show a strong last quarter, the service has to be performed (grading process completed) by June 30th. I hope the recent accelerations in receiving our grades does not start to extend back out after June 30th passes. Perhaps they are seeing we are more likely to send in order after order if we get quicker turnarounds. Time will tell.
