Get acquainted

In a recent post Stone 193 said he hadn't seen a "get acquainted thread" from me so here it is.

My name is Jody and I am 38. I have been collecting cards since 1980. These days I am attempting to assemble a top notch Chicago Bears collection. I am a self proclaimed sports junkie. I live in central Illinois and have sworn my allegiances to the Chicagoland teams. Sadly, the Blackhawks are included on the list. When it comes to collecting, I love the old stuff. Pre1970. I have a special place in my heart for 1933 Goudeys. Unfortunatley, I don't have a special place in my wallet for them. I have been following the posts here for a couple of weeks and have found them to be informative, entertaining, and sometimes laugh out loud hilarious. I look forward to continued conversations and hope that my posts contribute to this forum and not detract.

Good luck in finding Bears stuff - please don't be shy about posting a scan or 2 or what you pick up.

Right now I'm trying to decide...

Hello, Stone. Glad to see you still keeping up the good fight. I've been away, but it's good to see some of 'creme de la creme' still aboard and posting. I always remember my posts mean nothing unless someone is smart enough to understand the humor and we always had some good laughs. Hope you're doing great. I think we can spice up this board a bit and give some of the newer guys a fresh perspective on the card world.
