Anybody dealt with Bob Severs aka babboonbobo2???

He had a B-S-T Ad on this forum a few weeks ago. On 5/29/06 I mailed him a money order for (2) coins. On 6/4/06 he PM'd me saying he got it on 6/3/06. He said he would mail my coins on 6/6/06. That was the last I heard from him. He doesn't answer my PM's and guess what????????

I have never received my coins!!!!!!! image

He had several coins listed for sale, anybody else order from him?

If so did you get your coins???

It doesn't make sense that he ripped me off because I wanted to buy a 1979-P Wide Rim off him as well for over $400 additional but he said it was sold? If he was ripping me off he would have taken that money also? I wonder if something happened to him? Does anyone know?

I wonder who bought the '79-P WR? imageimage

Do you think I was worried?.......Bobo's Thread.

If you purchased 2 & I had the other 3, looks like no one else purchased from Bob.

Type in Robert Severs and Ohio in Google and you get two listings right on top. If you recognize one of the addresses try calling.

I already did that but the address I sent the Postal Money order to has an UNLISTED number.

Anybody know how to get around that?

Did the Google thing with no luck. Expanded the search and it even went into the obituaries thought maybe but no luck there it was somebody else.
At the present time I would have to warn all that this is looking like a scam artist or somebody with problems is at the other end.

Sheesh GRANDMAN,it always seems like you get ripped off.image

Do a google search for unlisted numbers, there are a number of websites that will look it up for a fee....

No, not really. I have done THOUSANDS of transactions between here and eBay and I can count on ONE hand the number that have went bad!

SOME people have even made their's right after the fact,,,,, until this deal I have lost less than $50 total.

    This deal was a $110.

Heck, now that I think about it,,,,, ALL the deals that went bad started HERE on This Forum,,,,,, NOT eBay. You would think it would be the other way around???

I would say problem at the other end.
I got my coins after PM'ing twice, then replying to his thread.
Since I probably paid the most, if he was scamming, I would have been the one taken.
Plus, as GrandAm stated, he could have easily taken his money for the MS66 WR....and mine, & skipped town.
I really think there is something else going on, too bad he doesn't fill us in on it.

I agree when life throws the curve ball, coin collecting can and will take a secondary role. But I sure would like to get those coins for my mint set. Especially since I sold one of the MS67's that I had.

  • probably on vacation and thought his wife mailed you your coins and they are still locked in her car. (I hope it is like this)

I thought about that, and that is why I have waited so long but it will be 3 weeks on Monday. Not many people go away for that long at a time?

I had to wait a month for him to ship my goods...

He said he works a ton...I believed him. He didnt rip me off, I just think hes pretty busy

    Dan,

    I hope that's the case.
And now, besides work, he has the Camaro to tinker around with.....

Still, he had the time to cash the checks & M.O's.

A week, acceptable....we sometimes get payment on Monday's & can't find time to mail items out until the weekend.
    2 weeks.....now we're getting worried, sending PM's.
3 weeks, WITHOUT an explaination, or returning PM's??

You waited a month? Did you get any PM letting you know what the delay was? Sounds like you did.

I think GrandAm & LindeDad would be OK with the wait if Bob would PM them to explain why the delay.
No word from 'bobo only makes things worse.
