Does anyone know how Detecting in Panama City is...do you need permits to detect...Thank You.

You should be fine in Panama City. Lynn Haven, a town just north of Panama City is off limits for detectorists. Panama City Beach is probably o.k., but it's a 30 minute drive from Panama City. There are several old sections and neighboring communities in and around PC, including St. Andrews, Callaway, Springfield to name a few. Up near Lynn Haven, and perhaps actually in Lynn Haven is the remains of Bob Jones College. It's in the woods near a relatively new housing development (new as of 1998) that I found my first buffalo nickel. Google Bob Jones college or some PC maps. Good luck.
