Maybe gadgets like these have been around for a while, but I have never run into them. My mom is big into photography and she tore out an ad in one of her magazines because she knows how much I struggle with lighting issues, camera mounting, etc. when it comes to shooting copper coins.
Finally, someone has come up with a genius idea for a tripod, except it's a monopod AND ON TOP OF THAT...they also have portable D-Flector briefcase-type backgrounds that you can use to put behind your coins when you shoot them!
Below is a picture of the entire set up....with the monopod and the D-Flector which can be had for $89.99 + $39.99...not a bad deal! I will most likely be ordering both in the near future...and I'll report back how each works. If others order, please share your thoughts and experiences here!

The stand looks to complicated for me. DOH!
But that breifcase is the coolest!
