Is the mintage really around 10,000 coins and how scarce are they in PCGS 65 and 66?

Anybody know anything about demand for these coins?...I like that they have United States of America on them...should generate some interest?

Yes, the mintage is correct. Philly did not plan to strike any 1904 silver for circulation, but a gentlemen named Farran Zerbe (who you probably know) convinced mint officials to issue 10,000 "mint" sets to sell at the Louisiana Purchase Expo that year. The coins are proof-like and are often found in high grades. In 65, they should fetch over $300 each. In 66, possibly twice that.
JHF is the true expert around here. He's pretty busy these days, but may surprise us with a "cameo" appearance.
I never get tired of looking at your type set Mr USAROK. The eye appeal is second to none!
