  • Gorgeous! The seller is correct -- it does look just about PERFECT.

Not that I'd want it as a BGS 10, but I wonder what one would have brought in BGS 10 Pristine grade??

Whoa! 3 Grand?!? That just makes me numb. image
  • I wanted that thing too, I was tempted to put a 1800 bid or so, but I would've been way off. Thats a super tough card, I've busted a ton of '85 leaf trying to get a PSA 9 Clemens... no dice

I just bought an 85 leaf set hand collated from BBC Exchange, Clemens was a little off center. Not a bad set though, probably nm/mint.

Nice card and all, and of course I'd love to have it. But that seems nuts that something from the 1980s can fetch $3,000. I'll take a '33 Goudey Ruth in a PSA 5 any day over that. True, the Clemens might be only a pop 3 in a PSA 10, but there are more unopened sets and boxes out there, so that population can surely rise. It just seems a bit extreme for a modern card.
  • Thing about this card is there are no factory sets, so you have to pull one from a wax box
