Help identifying a coin.

Hello World & Ancient Coin forum members.

Wonder if you could assist me. I collect paper money (and a few US and Canadian coins), but I'm stumped by a coin my daughter found on the floor at a video game arcade. Tried to find similar ones on ebay and a few reference sites, but struck out. I'm not sure it is real, but she found it along with an old (1966) 25-cent piece from the Netherlands which I know is real because I have one. Here are the scans:

I'm sure it is probably easily identified, but I just didn't know where to look. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Brian

  • Thanks, 1jester. My daughter is very pleased to hear it was a genuine coin from Russia.

    Appreciate the assistance.

It was a pleasure to be here. If my daughter keeps scouring the floor and finds more mystery coins, I'll be back soon. image

Actually, I'll probably lurk here more often. I have just enough world coins to be dangerous, and the currency forum traffic seems to be slowing down of late.
