Wouldn't it be cool if each Set Registry page had its own message board?

Who would I talk to about that?

Interesting idea. Although, these 'official threads' sort of act like that. But, I like the idea of going to the set that you are possibly interested in and 'talking' with a few collectors already into that set.

That would be cool just to have a link or topics on each set page!

  • nice idea... the people competing with me mostly have their sets blacked out though and i don't get the feeling they'd be posting much helpful info... but for other sets, it could work... it's good to have dedicated threads for the different sets though and i notice they get a lot of use in other sets.
  • Fantastic Idea! I'd love it ! Why didnt I think of that
Now looking for a 1950 Bowman Baseball Box as pictured below.

  • I e-mailed PSA/CU so hopefully they are at least entertaining the idea. Glad to see others enjoy it.

I think that is a great idea, I also think my idea of being able to have more than one card listed and a hit counter was good also?

I guess I'm in the minority, but I don't like the idea. I think that would be way too many message boards and the majority would have little to no traffic.

    Looking for:
Any high grade OPC Jim Palmer
    High grade Redskins (pre 1980)
  • They could consider requiring a minimum number of registrants before they activate a seperate board for the set. 5 sets registered for company/year sets and 3 sets registered for player sets. This way no time is wasted on those sets that see little to no action.

...what they could do is post a link on the particular set home page to any "official thread" created in this forum.

    Geoff,

I think it is a fantastic idea if it could be done. Those interested in the 72 Topps or 94 Donruss threads or whatever could just go to those particular sets and have their own conversation--the Nolan Ryan thread could also be moved to his player set.

    I would e-mail BJ directly.

    You're a genius!

If each Set Registry page has its own board, will this current board become extinct? I mean - 99% of the posts here are about specific sets, collectors, etc.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I like to see the discussions on different sets here. I would like to see them add a scan of a card for each set on the registry. I often meander through the registry before choosing a new set to build and it would be nice to see a scan of a representative ard from the set at the top of the set home page.
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards

maybe in am in the minority, but why isnt this space just as usefull. here everyone sees all the discussions that are going on and may chime in even if its not a set that they are interested in.
