7s are $475 / 284 8s are $1500 / 137 9s are $6750 / 15
The 7/8 spread means that there is usually some "competetion" for "nice" 7s on eBay. A lot of the 7s I have seen for sale are ugly and OC; that makes "nice" 7s even more pricey.
You can certainly get an "ugly" one for $600, and you might find a nice one on any given day. If you do not plan to sell it for a while, $600 (+/-) would be OK.
Most dealers would not want to pay you more than about $300, if you got short of cash.
There probably are not huge hoards of them ungraded, so this is likely a stable card and should trend substantially higher because set-builders will have to have it, and new guys will want to have it.

The centering on the lothar card is at the high-end of PSA 7 centering.
All other factors being at the "PSA high-end," the lothar card should sell for a good bit over $600 on eBay. MANY of the 7s that show up, look almost like they should have been (OCd) by PSA.
The centering bias is, about 80% of the time, to the left. You can see the lothar card is moving in that direction, BUT it is NOT THERE. Many look almost 90/10, and still get the 7.
With almost 400 PSA6s graded, the PSA7 is probably a better longterm buy. It usually sells for only twice as much as the 6. That $ spread should increase with time, but the 6s are probably going to go up, also.
I saw a PSA8 last year in person, and it had about the same centering bias as the lothar card, I think. It was tagged $2K.

There is a website that has a PSA 7 for $475.00 - I think at one time they had a sale on it and it was $405.00. If you are interested in a buy I can reply with the site.

Im glad you likey storm!!!! That was my 2nd 1957 bought. I had not started the set yet...and the year was 2002-2003. I really cant believe SMR says 475 for a 7??? they crazy.
Great looking card Lothar. I bought the gai 7 the other day and it arrived today and I am very happy with it. For 230 dollars it was too good to pass up and it will crossover to sgc or psa. The centering was the only issue but it is my first ted williams non 1959 fleer and it is within the 7 guidlines
I just sold a PSA 6 of this card for $260. It wasn't a 'high end' 6 either. So, I would assume that a nice 7 would go for at least $600 as most have already mentioned.

wasn't that the seller that was caught cracking pro cards and selling them as nm/mint raw last summer berfore the national saying they would grade them onsite at the national if they didn't sell at their opening bids of smr for an 8 ( a carew rookie started the thread if that helps anyone remember)? if so i would be highly concerned about cracking it and getting it to psa or gai. also, they sell all companies so there is a reason that card is in a gai holder. just my opinion
