Trivia question....

At this stage in his career, who has more hits than Pete Rose, more stolen bases than Lou Brock, and more RBI's than Barry Bonds when they were at the same point in their career? When I heard the answer I was shocked.....

Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

lost- I don't have that kind of willpower. I'm the guy that burns the top of his mouth with the pizza because I can't wait two minutes before taking a huge bite.

  • i saw some stat about Jose Reyes having more hits and stolen bases faster than anyone at his age....except for Cobb and three others, all were HoF

If it's based on years in the majors, and not age, I'd go with Ichiro.

ding ding ding. Carl Crawford of the D-Rays. Apparently he's on the trading block because the D-Rays don't want to pay him. If he goes to an AL contender, watch out.

To quote the great Mel Kiper Jr. after the Colts picked Trev Alberts in the '94 draft: "This is why, year in and year out, the Devil Rays are the laughingstock of Major League Baseball."

  • Mel Kiper should stick to hair care.
  • Yeah, I can't believe that Crawford is on the trading block.

Reminds me of the Expos from the 90s. Every time a player showed any talent, he was gone. Pedro, Randy, Vlad, Vidro, Larry Walker, Moises, Wetteland, Cliff Floyd, Galarraga, etc..... Every year I felt worse for Felipe Alou.
