Question about insurance value

When submitting cards for grading, does anyone consider the cost of grading into the value?

Seems like if you send in a card and it is only worth $1.00 (which you declare the value at)and it gets lost you`re sort of screwed if you need to file a cliam.

New here so if this has been asked before I am not aware of it.

The declared value I use is what the card will be worth after it's been graded.
If you're expecting a card to get graded as a 7, then use the SMR value for a 7.

By the way, even though stuff has been asked before, there's still always going to be other new folks wondering the same things. image

  • If it is only a couple cards worth a $1 then you might be better off waiting to pick one up for that on ebay, just make sure it has low shipping charges.
