  • I'm an old time comic collector (30+ years) and don't really look at it as good or bad. I'm glad that Marvel is trying some new things with their characters. The key is not to re-write years of continuity (Clone saga), or do the re-numbering thing (Heroes Reborn).

This seems kind of like a "Death of Superman" deal to me.

    Fabfrank:

I don't collect comics. I have collected some about 10 years ago. At some point though I think I would be interested in getting the first Amazing Fantasy with spider-man in it. Not high grade, but nicely presentable. Maybe a PSA 4 equivalent. How much would something like that run?

  • Collesystem- I'm really not surehow much that would go for. If you want to get some real knowledge about graded comics, go to the SGC website. Their CGC message boards (CGC is to graded comics, like PSA is to cards) is a wealth of knowledge and is a very active board.
I don't envision this as a "Death of Superman" thing. Joe Quesada is not afraid to shake up a character. He outed Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and I believe this will be legit. Like I said, this will add a whole new dimension to the Spidey character if handled correctly. I'm looking foward to seeing what happens.
