Weekend feelgood giveaway----> winner!

Isn't the Darkside great? Only 2 weeks ago, I had decided that the numismatic season was over for me, no more buying or selling until next fall. But ever since Don posted this coin I have been looking at it non stop .Although I do not collect Canadian coins, I have decided that I had to have it,and I almost twisted Don's arm to get it.image I have bought various Canadian coins during the past two years, from 1935 dollars to large and small cents, but the only real keeper so far was a 1936 Pittman ICCS MS63 red cent. This one is a keeper too,besides the nice colours, I also like its cool nickname.

image

This wasn't the only purchase of the week, I also bought a 1927 PF64 wreath crown, that was the last coin needed for my 1901-70 British type set. To celebrate these additions to my various world impulse purchases, I will offer another Canadian coin, a duplicate (!), 1939 full red cent ,CCCS MS62 red. Just post to enter and I will draw a winner on Monday morning. Again thanks to ajaan for selling me this coin, it really made my day. image

    Dimitri,

    Please keep me out of the giveaway and let somebody else win, but I love seeing another darksider get the grey habit.

    Guys, thanks for inviting me to collect Canadian, but there is a variety of reasons why I won't do this. As strange as it sounds, my collection of Greek (and territories) coins is still my prime priority ,I just don't like the crowd and the atmosphere that prevails there lately, I much prefer to hang out here. image TTT for Sunday, tomorrow we have a winner!

    The winner is ...stork! But as she decided to not take part in it, I'll leave the choice of a new winner to her, or she can change her mind and keep the prize too if she prefers. Thanks for the participation. image

    Oh the pressure of it all! By the usual method of asking my kids, they went with Grandpop's name and Robert(B) is the winner image. (I really thought they would go for one of the horsie set). Congrats to Robert!
