New SCD Grading

We all have opinions about the new SCD grading, but I was curious as to how people actually submit the cards? PSA, SGC, GAI, BGS, all have their own websites for submissions and information, and even the old SCD had information on the Krause website, but after doing a search on the web for Sports Cards Direct, I could find absolutly nothing (except sites where people had the cards in their stores or auctions). If this is the case, it only adds to the opinion that the cards are no better than PRO or GEM. Does anyone know how cards are submitted to the new SCD, or was SCD purchased by Redzone/Shaqfu to increase their own auction sales, which would certainly be a conflict of interest...

  • No one knows?
  • Those blue labeled holders are a major risk for being trimmed or altered cards.

Why would one submit to SCD when they could get PSA by just waiting an extra 2-3 weeks?

I find it laughable how the new SCD can't even decide whether their full name is Sports Card Direct or Sports Cards Direct. And that crappy website should tell you all you need to know about the quality of the company.
  • Gee, nice site. I'd never use them and couldnt find anything on the web, so I was starting to think that they were just a way to get rid of some big dealers inventory by grading your own cards with a semi-ligit label (a notch up from Pro or Grademycards) and hoping the old SCD name could carry you along far enough until 500,000-1,000,000 in sales made it so it didnt matter anymore what people thought of you....
