worldcoinguy - I know the people there. I can walk there within 20 mins or if I take the bus, 2 mins
And yes, I think I know what you are thinking - about those Russian coins. I was fortunate enough, as they let me take a good look at them. They are just stunners. In the past, they used to have a 1870 3 ruble gold coin as well as TWO dvornik 1898 commemorative rubles!!!
I didnt know you were from that part of the world! Russia is a long distance for you also.
Interesting that you live so close to KJC. I stumbled on their website about 6 months ago, and at the time they had a fabulous selection of roubles. A few were priced a bit high IMO, but I see they found a buyer at some point. It looks like they sold about 75% of them. They still have some nice roubles to admire, but unfortunately at this point, admiring is all I can do.
I must say their photography suck a lot, but their coins are just superb. Overpriced? I don't think so, that is if you take in account of the ridicious prices at ebay these days. As I can actually see the coins in hand, I can make a proper decision instead of some mad stabbing over the net. They had a XF+ Borodin ruble in the past too!
Great list guys!! You've all stepped up and we've complied a great list here. A great reference work to help add a few more hours to the many I already put in daily looking for my treasures! Thanks to two of these great replies I now have bids out that I wouldn't have even known about. My wallet hates you, I thank you. I'm going to go broke.
