How much weight

is given to grading cards under the microscope. I guess what I mean is if a card has sharp corners, snow white borders and a clean back and grades a 5 or a 6 - what is the reason.

Would a single surface blemish warrant that?

Even the tiniest surface wrinkle or crease will automatically drop a card to a 5 or 6, hard to detect unless you look at each card under a very bright light. If the ripples are there, perfect corners & borders mean zilchimage
