Westward Journey Nickel Set Question

I've just put together a full set of mint rolled WJ nickels from 2004 to 2006 and will keep them in the sealed mint boxes.

Along the way I picked up a six nickel 2004 and 2005 set. They contain an uncirculated P, a D and a Proof S or each nickel.

There appears to be no "Return to Monticello" 2006 set, and I can't find anything about them on the US Mint site. Why would the mint release a 2004, a 2005 and not something to complete the set for 2006, or am I missing something? Will they release next year or something?

    The year ain't over yet.
  • At the Atlanta Money Show in May, the U.S. Mint representative specifically told me the mint planned to release a 2006 Nickel 3-coin set (one proof, one P and one D) IN AUGUST. We'll see if she was correct in that statement in the next couple months.

    Thanks,

It isn't listed on the Mint page as a future scheduled release, but then again, neither was the Golden Buffalo.
