That does NOT sound like good employees or security
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
That is a hell of a nice group of coins.

In the dealers own words:
They were sent registered for $60K. Post Office paperwork shows they

So, according to the post office someone signed for them at ANACS, while ANACS says they have
no record of receiving the coins.
Looks like ANACS has some explaining to do.
<< <i>Forget the money,to lose a collection like that is enough to make a grown man cry.

If the post office has signed receipts from ANACS someone should be in big trouble.
A lawsuit would be in order IMO.
That doesn't speak well for ANACS at all. How can they possibly explain that away? Sure, insurance will pay off, but
they can never regain that level of credibility that was lost when those coins disappeared.

Moral of the story....don't trust ANACS with your prized possessions at this time as there appears to be too many "technical difficulties"
Send in your ugly coins until it is all worked out.....

My conclusion is that it would be possible that the package was never delivered to ANACS, or the package was delivered and an ANACS employee "lost" it.
It will take a long time to find replacements for all 80 lost coins. Now I am glad I decided NOT to send my Busties to ANACS to be reholdered into the new style holder. I still wonder how the dealer managed $60,000 insurance on a registered package.
Based on the information provided, ANACS will have to compensate the owner of the coins. It will end up in court.
PS - is it possible that the coins were misplaced during their recent move to Texas? This is really sad news for Wes.

Each box has a unique serial code.

Yes, this is what is "usually" done, but apparently not always done.

Some carriers do it that way. My carrier lumps several packages on one card, and if I stand there checking the numbers against the packages he kvetches and moans about me not trusting him and wasting his time. I check them anyways.
It is possible that ANACS signed for the package but did not receive it. If so, it is their loss. Always know what you are signing.

And I have always had to sign a seperate card for each registered package as well. I think if they asked me to just sign one I would start wanting to know why. I guess it would be possible to put multiple box numbers on one card but it would strike me as odd and make me check things more closely. On the other hand I don't get as many each day as ANACS does so they might see it as standard procedure.

WHY? Hoping for upgrades? Likes the new, utterly cheap and flimsy holders better? Just another example of how rediculous this slab game is. I do feel for Wes Chormicle, but I bet he's asking "why" about now.
I'd really like to know what was "wrong" with the "old" holders. I doubt I'll get a straight answer.
As stman said, just mwo.
bet no one's cursing ANACS more loudly than this fellow. any news?

I have had several packages on one pink card but EACH package still has to be scanned in individually.
James Taylor himself stated that ANACS found a box containing 80 ANACS
holdered Bust Half Dollars.
So I can breath now.....
I may have to re-think sending coins to ANACS for a while.
so, they lose and then later find boxes of expensive coins? Scaring their submitters for what reason? a fun joke?
or is it merely inept security and chain-of-custody procedures?
All's well that ends well....... yeah, kind of

I agree it's better than it was before, but I'm not sure I can simply say all's well that ends well. This is a situation that should never happen, we need some response from ANACS (maybe not here, but somehow they need to face up to this) as to how they intend to address their lack of procedures and processes.
