What would a 1973 Roosevelt sell for in MS67?

I picked up the cleanest Roosevelt that I've ever seen this weekend in 2x2 in a junk bin. I am positive that it will 66 and could very well 67 at PCGS. I'm trying to decide whether to send it in or not. I couldn't find any prices on either 66 or 67.

The price list shows $35 in 66 and $300 in 67 without bands. The pop is 35 and 5.

with bands $425 in 66 and $1200 in 67. The pop is 6 and 1.

That would be a VERY GOOD find in a junk box!!!!!!

  • I will buy it if it grades ms67. I will offer $400, maybe more if it's truly special.

I don't think you can beat L R's offer. He is cornering the market on these early clads...

  • I haven't found any 73-p's close to ms67 yet. 75-p and 76-p are tough but I think I will or already have found them. What annoys me is 82-p. Only a pop of 6 I believe in ms67, but 70 or 80 ms67 no p's. I can't imagine the regular ones are rarer. I guess the (still raw) ms67's are just so spread out it is going to take a really long time for the pop to ever get that high.

    LR,

Do you have a dime set in the registry? If so, what is the name of the set(S)?

I didn't mean that as a joke. He may have the right idea as long as the pops don't blow up,
and I don't think they will. I did the same thing with the silvers before FB and did quite well
with them. Today's moderns are tomorrows classics. I still feel the FB's are the place to be.
Just look at the Merc series. The FB's have appreciated over the years far more percentage
wise then the non-FB's. Of course, We will have several dates in the clad dimes with miniscule
    pops in FB.
  • I'll post my set once all my recent submission results are in. The problem with FB's is pcgs and their shifty standards. Also for many dates the best FB's are 2 grades below what you can get not fb. I like the best coins overall, and sorry, 2 or even 1 grade overall wins.

I guess I skipped over this one when you let me see them Sunday. Maybe a little more attention, from myself, should be given to the clad coinage.....image

I'm with you LR. I won't pay stupid money for the bands. I also want the best coin, and a 67 is better than a 66FB!

I showed it to you and said "I dont know if this is worthy anything, but it was too nice to pass up for 75¢" You were probably too busy looking at the toned ones image

I know. I wasn't laughing as a joke. I just think it is funny. There is one guy that I really really trust in this hobby, and the is LR. He has helped me quite a bit over the last year or so and my sets look great becasue of his help. I just think he knows the pops really really well and knows which coins are tough and found this post funny. When I finish my lincoln set in 1-2 years it will be a top 10 set with mostly PQ coins and its not without lots of help from LR.
